Veterans Administration (VA)

Pacific County Veteran's Fund

The Board of County Commissioners have adopted Policies and Procedures for the Veterans Assistance Fund Program offering temporary financial assistance. Assistance can be provided with rent/mortgage, utilities, transportation (such as bus tickets), food, and burial/cremation. Housing Assistance

Housing Opportunities of SW Washington (HOSWA) provides rental assistance and supportive services for Veterans who are experiencing housing insecurity.  Income and other eligibility requirements apply.  Please call (866) 255-2799 for more information.

Coastal Community Action Program provides coordinated entry assessments to help determine eligibility for emergency housing, rapid re-housing, and permanent supported housing programs in Pacific County.  To schedule a coordinated entry appointment, please call 360-500-4550

Coastal Community Action also provides the LIHEAP (Low Income Heat Assistance Program).  Learn more by calling (800) 828-4883.

Transportation Assistance

Catholic Community Services provides the transportation for veterans to get to appointments at the VA.  Please call (360) 637-8563 or Toll Free (888) 415-4015.

Pacific Transit provides the Dial-A-Ride program for individuals in need of transportation.  Dial-A-Ride is a curb-to-curb shared ride service provided through advance reservations providing rides to your medical appointments, grocery store, visiting friends, or anywhere in our Dial-A-Ride service area. Dial-A-Ride service is provided.  To be eligible, you must be: ADA Certified/ disabled or a senior 65 years or older; and reside more than ¼ of a mile from a fixed route. Dial A Ride can take you to the nearest bus stop. North county residents can call 360-875-9418 and South County residents call 360-642-9418 to schedule an appointment.

Food Programs

Coastal Community Action Program (located next to the library in Ilwaco and at the Senior Center in Raymond) provides hot meals Monday through Friday from 11:00am until 12:30pm. For details call (360) 642-3990.

Ocean Park Lutheran Church (located at 24002 U Street in Ocean Park) offers Free Monday Meals from 11:30am until 1:00pm.

His Supper Table (Nazarene Church located at 13th North and Pacific Highway in Long Beach) provides hot meals Monday through Thursday from 4:30pm until 6:00pm.
